She has worked at an NGO in South Africa on improving the energy welfare of residents in informal settlements and developing and implementing Energy and Climate Change Strategies together with cities. Her work at IER, including her PhD research, has focused on energy systems, energy economics modelling, analysing the significance of energy poverty on the energy system through the application of an energy-economics model, improving the energy welfare of households as well as overall energy planning while achieving the energy and social objectives of the energy transition in the German context.
